Hazel the Plant Witch
Hazel the Plant Witch got 1st place overall in the 36th GM48 game jam and 1st place in Innovation.
When her daughter Rose prepares to leave home, Hazel embarks on a cozy, narrative-driven quest to get her the perfect goodbye gift.
Hazel lives on an island populated with sentient plants. She speaks to plants using her special translating device, which forms the game's unique dialogue mechanic: Players can "record" dialogue spoken by NPCs, and play back that recorded dialogue to respond to NPCs in turn. Listen carefully to a plant's stories to decide what dialogue to record, and what dialogue to respond with! Players can have fun progressing the main story, while completionists and plant-enthusiasts can take the time to discover over 250 lines of dialogue (with a special surprise for 100%!).

What others had to say:
“Communication is the central game element and is embedded in a story that focuses on understanding and community. We can’t get enough of that, especially in the year 2020.” - VirtualSEA
“Hazel the Plant Witch feels like a melancholic daydream, from its beautiful music to its utterly charming environment. It offers a cast of characters with strong personalities and opinions, forcing you to consider which lines of dialogue will resonate with each plant.” - IndieGameAtlas

After School Afterlife
After School Afterlife got 3rd place in GM48 game jam and is being expanded into a full game.
When the music starts, the world of the dead and the world of the living collide... Make your way out of a haunted Peranakan mansion in this musical metroidvania. On the beat of the music, the player switches between the world of the living and the world of the dead. Listen to the beat to navigate obstacles and escape the mansion! Talk to strange and funny ghosts, help them with their problems, play musical mini-games, and fight colourful bosses.
As two members of our team are from Singapore, we decided to make a Peranakan-themed game for the “Two Sides” GM48 game jam. Peranakan culture originates from Southern Chinese people who migrated to the Malayan and Indonesian peninsula a few centuries ago. You'll notice lots of Peranakan-inspired art assets (colourful and detailed) in the game and Chinese-inspired music.
